Project Brief

​

Metagram has designed Abode, a stunning 3 bedroom apartment in Hong Kong's Whampoa district. Designed as a family retreat, every aspect of the unit's design was carefully developed to evoke a sense of calm, without sacrificing grandeur. 

​

The design is centered around warm earth tones and textures which are emphasized through the materiality - the millwork, the hand-applied plaster ceiling, the fabric and wood finishes, and the gradients of light touching the juxtaposition between gentle curves and sharp edges. 

​

Formidable marble forms form focal points within the space - visual anchors, complementing the natural tonality of materials, these elements add boldness and grandeur.
