Espresso Alchemy, Mira Place 2.0
Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong

Boutique Cafe; Full-Scope Design

Espresso Alchemy has shifted tenancy within the Miraplace mall in TST, Hong Kong. This second iteration of the store comes nearly 8 years after the opening of the first, also Metagram's first design with the Alchemy Coffee group.

This design brings in line the Miraplace outlet with the overall brand aesthetic featured by the other stores in Espresso Alchemy's line - rich earth red hues, warm mid-tones and splashes of special engineered veneer and carefully selected marble.

The detailing of the store draws influence from the ancient architecture of South America, triangular geometry and stepping details, with a matching plan drawn on dominant 45 degree angles, tie the design aesthetic to the unusual floorplan.

As per every past Espresso Alchemy store, we explored two exciting materials, including Nero Macquina Marble from China and a stunning selection of post-modern engineered wood veneers. Red teak veneer was also used in an gesture to evoke a slight sense of the retro - adding to the atmosphere of this visually stunning interior.
